Mattress Warehouse...? Any one hear anything bad about Mattress Warehouse.? I need to get a new bed, but not looking to spend a crazy amount of money. But I also have the catch 22 of not wanting a crap bed. They seem good from browsing the website, but has anybody heard anything bad or good?

What should I wear to my interview at Mattress Warehouse? I want to look nice, but i don't want to over-do it. Any suggestions?

Has anyone tried the Simmons Vilamourapt Mattress especially made for Mattress Warehouse? I am curious about a mattress at Mattress Warehouse that is by Simmons but is especially made for Mattress Warehouse. I wold like to know if anyone has tried the Simmons Vilamourapt-Q-Mattress especially made for Mattress Warehouse? I have purchased 3 different beds in the past year and half but have not found a bed that I like. I have gone from the softest of pillow tops to a very firm and yet they all seem to still bother my back and pressure points, and even the soft pillowtops make my lower back feel as if it's gonna break. The last one I purchased is a very firm bed and I chose to purchase a Serta 4-inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper Contour. But I still have the pressure points going on and I feel as if I have to fight to get out of the bed because of the 4" memory foam topper. I'm open for suggestions if anyone would like to offer any. Have you bought a mattress from BJ's Warehouse? Has anyone liked the mattress they bought at BJ's Warehouse? The last bed I bought was a Sleep Number, and it was the worst! BJ's seems to have good prices, but they're hard to test out. Can anyone recommend one? I have about $800-900 to spend on a Queen set. Thanks!

Just bought a mattress set 2 weeks ago and now the foundation makes a loud creaking noise. What do I do? Got a mattress set from mattress warehouse 2 weeks ago. The bed was fine initially but all of a sudden it starts making a loud creaking from the foundation whenever I sit on it. It is a Symbol brand foundation, queen size. Are foundations (aka as boxsprings) usually covered under the warranty? Supposedly the mattress set comes with a 2 year nonprorated warranty. Will they take it back and replace it or am I stuck with it?

i got a a king size mattress from a warehouse. it was there for a few months, the guy told me to take a rag? and wipe it down with bleach andwarm water. basically i did, then let it air our, but i still smell strong bleach on it @ night or when i lay on it. i cant afford another mattress how can i get rid of the smell?

What type of mattress is best for a toddler? Our 2 year old is getting ready for her first bed. Now, I can see how easy it is to spend $1000 on a twin mattress set, but is it really necessary? It would seem a warehouse club mattress would do just as well given her light weight. Also, is it best to try to match her crib mattress as far as firmness goes? My own research has me all mixed up and I was curious what actual people have done for their little ones. Thanks in advance. Why do people even bother asking questions on YA? How can they sell mattress sets at these discount warehouses for such low prices? Are they decent quality? Most pillowtop mattresses cost around $1000 or more. I saw an ad and talked to a guy who is selling mattresses out of a warehouse for $200. Should I just assume that they are poor quality?

new mattress problems? bought new queen mattress frm mattress warehouse in miami. it was shipped to our apt covered in the orig plastic. after we opened and put it on the bed , we noticed it smelled weird... it is still slightly smelling like cockroach spray(after 2 days)..kinda like something that wasnt stored in the proper temp... what can v do abt that weird smell?we already febreze...that brought dwn the smell a lot...but still there!

Is this mattress purchase a good deal? I am looking into buying a new interspring mattress I had been planning on buying a new king size bed with a price range between 800-1000. I think that the beds are decent at this range. Well, this one chain in town has returned mattresses from customers who brought them back withing the 60 day time period. They tell me that these mattresses are not returned for defects and that they have been tested at their warehouse, and that some people return the simply because they did not like the feel after sleeping on them. They are offering a King size Sealy Postropedic Plush Rothchild that has an original price of $2700 for $700 + $200 for box springs no warranty though. I can't find much info on the "Rothchild" and Im not sure how much to worry about the warranty. Opinions?

How much should a queen size mattress set cost? My fiancee and I found a warehouse where they are selling a plush pillow top queen mattress set for $550. It's an Englander Tolouse I believe and it was really comfy and nice. I'm wondering if I'm getting a good deal of if I can find something better somewhere else. To me this seems like a great price because the bed is very comfy but I know nothing about mattress buying.

I'm looking at the Serta Northstar bed at Sam's club for my child - anyone have any opinions on this mattress? The set would include the Serta Perfect Sleeper boxspring and the Serta Northstar Arbor Moon mattress. As I said they are sold at Sam's and I don't think I'd be able to return if not happy. It would be about $290 for the set, but I want to be happy. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated if anyone has any experience w/this set or w/mattress purchases from warehouses. Thanks!

Can anybody tell me where I can get a good full sized mattress that does not cost a fortune? I have been looking for a full sized mattress set and all I can find are very firm ones or ones that are way too soft. I have already looked at American Furniture Warehouse not much luck. I want to buy a new mattress (queen) but cant find anything under $500.00!? I live in North East Ohio. I visited a warehouse where they sold mattress, however they were all in poor shape and ranged in price from 200-500. I have also looked online at Mattress Warehouse, and Original Mattresses, however these prices were from 400-1000. Where in Toronto, can i find a shop that sells a complete bed for $200-300? I can't afford The Brick or even the Sears warehouse outlets. I need a mattress, boxspring, and frame. Sleepy's Mattress Store vs. Ikea (Good or Bad)? Have you or anyone you know bought a mattress from Sleepy's or Ikea? Here are the details: We are looking to spend aroubd 1k, and Sleepy's appears to have higher-end models in that range. Ikea only has a couple. We used a cheap one for years, and I feel like a name-brand (like Serta) may be better because I have sleep problems. A cheap mattress will not do anymore. Maybe people who said '...meh..." about Ikea bought cheap ones (many reviews of Ikea indicate that people were not as happy)? I hear Ikea can be a pain. We would have to drive to Brooklyn (1/2 hr.+ on the BQE), park, find the mattress we want (if it is even displayed-not many are), and find it in the warehouse and arrange shipping, but there is a Sleepy's around the corner from my apartment. Considering your experience with either store...would you have gone to a lot of trouble (and waiting) for the Ikea, or gone with a name-brand with a very close location that delivers quickly and on time? Can I lift a 100lb mattress just as easy as lifting a 100lb milk crate? We are being trained , at my job , to lift cases with bags of sand in milk crates . And we are telling the boss that this does not translate correctly in the warehouse because some of the cases come in different sizes and others are actually bags . I think that these bags and cases tend to shift there weight as you pick them up , sort of like a mattress . Am I right ? Can I hurt my back easier lifting cases and bags that tend to shift their weight as opposed to lifting a milk crate ?

judgement entered against Nationwide furniture warehouse in Union city NJ but they moved, how do i find them? i never received the furniture.On June, 1st 07 a judgement was entered against the store of Nationwide mattress in located in Union City New Jersey. Judgement is $3000.00 plus $21.00 cost plus interest.since then i tried to let the store finance bank GE Money Bank to collect their money from the store direct but they kept harrasing me with collection agencies and phone calls and letters.I went to the court house to help me how to collect this judgement so i can pay this GE Money Bank their money. I sent an Information Subpoena by sertified mail to Nationwide in Union City NJ but after one month i got the evelope back stamped (moved left no address I have sent mail to their legal counselor Norman Rosner, and customer service office at their head office at 6420 Atlantic Boulevard, Norcross, GA 30071 but never got an answer. I am harrased by GE Money Bank and their collection agency Encore and it is ruining my credit.I appreciate any idea how to collect this judgement or how to find them

How come all these companies get away with screwing the customer every time? From warranties to insurance....? Im sick and tired of all these big companies screwing me every chance they can. Im going to give a lot of examples... 1. Car insurance -- My black fire bird got hit in the quarter panel, made a dent all around the fuel door. The lady who hit mes insurance company's paying to fix it, but only to bump and paint that panel. Now my paint is not going to match. They might as well paint the panel red... If the paint all matched before shouldn't they paint the whole car? This is my summer Cruiser I want it to look good! 2. Detroit Edison - We have a huge tree in our yard next to our shed, also next to power lines that are in IMMENENT danger from this tree that is about to fall. Its leaning at a 45 degree angle and you can see the roots pulling from the ground. It wasent like that last week. We called them and they sent out kappen tree service (does all there tree work around here). They said they will only trim back the branches back far enough from the power lines so it dosent hurt them. They will also be tearing the new lawn all up driving there big truck back there... They left a HUGE mess last time they trimmed a tree in our yard, and left half the tree that we had to deal with... thats another story. This is going to screw up not only the yard, but also our shed, every thing in it, all the lawn mowers and a couple motorcycles by it, tons of stuff. AND the power and cable to a ton of houses north of us. They refuse to cut the whole tree down, called numorus times... They will not take the whole tree down, so we told them fine well you cant trim my tree. So they are not doing anything, they would rather let the tree hit the power lines then take the tree down. So a big FU to them. 3. Mattress Warehouse (Miller rd. Flint Michigan) -- So this burns my a** more than a waist high fire. I bought a $800.00 mattress with a 5 year warrentie. Less than one year later I have two big dips in the mattress, so bad that the cats seek that spot to lay in now. I was told by the swindling salesman that if any dips in the mattress, call him and we will get me a new mattress no charge. The thing about the warrentie (that i paid for) that he dident tell me is that if there were any stains on the mattress it voids the warrentie. I just got screwed. (I am filing a small claims suit on them. Im not taking that crap! 4. Microsoft Xbox red ring problem -- I dont even want to get into it... but I will... Lets just say 1-800-4my-xbox is microsofts bean counters direct line. There one red light problem and there three red light problem are both caused by over heating because they are poorly designed. They had such a problem they extended the 1 year warrentie for the 3 light problem to 3 years... But if only one red light shows up too bad for you, the warrentie doesnt cover it then. ITS THE SAME FREAKING THING! Well the bean counter (over in iraq or pakastan or what not) took 4 hours of my life away on the phone over a week of numorous calls getting the run around, talking with the supervisor bean counter, calling back in three days, the this and that, then the rude jerk, then the hanging up on me..... AGGHHH BASTURD BEAN COUNTERS!!! Ill bet you 5 thousand bucks that the Xbox live automatic forced update (internet) makes the three red lights only show up as one red light. That way your screwed. Why else did the one red light problem show up after they extended the warrentie? All these were just last week!!! Am I just having a bad week, or does every big company really screw everyone? Isent the Attorney General and the BBB and other big paid goverment companys SUPPOSE to do things about this? Is that not why such organizations exsist? Are they all just getting paid off by these companies? Hmmm that seems very plausable... Oh heres one more... Two years ago my parents went to the wedding of the son of there home insurance agent, and long time (childhood) friend of my mothers. While they were at the reception sitting at the table of the agent and all her friends whom are ins. agents, my dad asked agent1 what to do about the tree limb that just fell on the gazebo (very nice wooden gazebo hand made by my dad) asked if he should make a claim. Three other agents at the table said at the same time "Dont do it, they will probally cancel you" WTF! Long time customers paying there insurance every month, never made a claim, finally needs to file a small claim to fix a peice of insurred property and they threaten to cancel there insurance.... This makes me want to burn every insurance company down to the ground, see if they get canceled.... Why dosent anybody do anything about all these shady warrenties and insurance policys. They all have "clauses" and hidden terms in there fine print designed by bean counters and lawers to screw you "the customer" out of your hard earned money!!! They are NOT there to protect your investments thats for sure!

question about cancelling a credit card transaction? i work with mattress warehouse and there is a customer who has a problem with a mattress we sold them... a warranty issue... we told him to fill out the warranty claim papers because it is an issues with the manufacturer...he is kind of crazy and says he wanted a straight of refund did not want to deal with warranty issues.. but it says on contract that you cannot return your bedding( because companies that do that like sleepys end up selling used bedding) any warranty problem has to be dealt with and the customer satisfied but its by the bedding manufacturer not us, and its not a refund its a replacement of the same mattress.. well anyways the guy just came and left the mattress out in front of the store and says that he cancelled the credit card transaction.... i need to find out how long of payment he would be able to do this, because he claims visa refunded him his money.. we were not notified or contacted and this was weeks after the initial payment that he " cancelled" the transaction... is this possible or is he bluffing.. our corporate office is a bit worthless so i am trying to find this out for myself because we have not been able to get a hold of the right people to figure out if we still have payment...

Am I S.O.L..Leagal advice needed? I have bad back problems so I need a really decent mattress to sleep on. After months of trying every TV infomercial bed out there we finally just got one locally at a mattress warehouse. The very next day I went to return it because it was so unbelievably bad. It had a huge creator in the middle. They told me they could not take it back. We'll I didn't have time to fight with them as I had to be to work. Two days later the place burned down. Now they are filing for bankrupt. The mattress had a 20 year manufactures warranty on it but "Come-to-find-out" the manufactures of the bed went out of business 5 months before I even bought the thing. How do I check if a Sealy Mattress is a real and not a fake? *pokes question* I didn't buy it at sleep country or the actually warehouse of Sealy. I bought it at a furniture store. HELP!! What am I supposed to do with 44 mattresses?!?!?!? I work for a moving company, and we frequently do work for McGuire Air Force Base (south New Jersey, Burlington County). They recently stored 44 (size "Full") mattresses in our warehouse, and then they decided that they didnt want them any more. They were only used a couple of times, and are in excellent shape. We would HATE to just throw them out, but the "Good Will Store" wont take them because they have been used. Unfortunatly, I have been put in charge of figuring out what to do with them. Why are my neck and shoulders still hurting after I replaced my mattresses? 1 week ago I replaced my queen bed because me and my wife started feeling neck and back pain, we bought a Sealy Posturepedic Ultra Plush Cal King from a liquidator warehouse for $600 new, the boxsprings are new but not originals, and were set them on the ground because they didnt fit on our old queen base. Based on this information, should we get new pillows too because they are the culprits of our neck and shoulder pain, or is the mattress defective because we got it from a liquidator, or do we need a base for it? I'm thinking all we need are some good new pillows.

What should I wear to my boyfriend's company holiday party? My boyfriend just invited me to his Christmas party. He works for a mattress company and the party will be in their new store/warehouse. At work the men wear slacks or nice khakis with a button up. Would I be okay going with dark jeans, heals and and silky long sleeved shirt? Should I wear slacks or dress? We will be coming from work, so he will be wearing dress pants, a button up and a tie. Where in New York City is this artists' "hotel"? I read an article in the Times about two years ago about a "hotel" in one of the boros of New York City--I don't think it was Manhattan, it was probably Brooklyn?--that was originally a warehouse space or a factory space. "Rooms" are simply open cubicles with fence doors. There are rows of them and they are stacked one on top of the other, and they are not soundproof. The room consists of a very, very cramped space with the "floor" covered only by a sleeping mattress. The ceilings are too low for anyone to stand up. It is NOT one of those Japanese cubicle hotels. According to the article, the "hotel" is ideal for artists because the rates are very low, it's possible to do work (especially writing) in the tiny rooms, and many people like the Bohemian sort of cramped-community feel. I've been looking for the name and location of this place ever since I accidentally threw out the article. I can't seem to find it on Google. Could anyone help me out here?

Aren't mistakes bound to happen at work sometimes? At this warehouse I work at we have to spend part of each day looking for furniture pieces to put in a row for drivers to to deliver to homes the next morning. I get my information from paperwork with the customers name and how many pieces are with each. I must place 100 pieces a day. I missed getting one mattress last week and my boss was so mad about it. He will say why didn't I pull it and if I continue to miss things he is going to write me up. I bet I haven't missed anything for months and my boss even said I didn't used to miss anything. Isn't mistakes bound to happen by me at my job at some time and why is most boss so particular about it?

Disciplinary Issue, Employment, my Son - Advice Please? (I am in the U.K.) My son works for a large company which he joined after dropping out of university because one of the subject areas was too difficicult. It is a menial task, stacking shelves, and staff morale is low. Last year, he and a colleague took some video of them doing stupid teenage things at the back of the warehouse, away from other members of staff and the public. This included such pranks as jumping in a pile of wrapped mattresses, racing in shopping trolleys (carts in the U.S.). These videos were posted on YouTube. No problem, until the Area Manager was told about them. He has now been suspended on full pay whilst an investigation is held. Apart from this incident he has never been late, never left early, worked hard, extra hours when requested. He does not take drugs or dring excess alcohol. If you were HR, what would you do? What is his best defence, if any? As an aside, the company have a problem getting staff as the pay and conditions are poor.
