Laminate flooring 7mm will this flooring stand-up if installed over carpet underlay.?
I had to install this flooring over the carpet underlay. The client couldn't live in a carpeted home...after removing carpet we discovered the underlay was stuck to the tiles below. Futher discovery we found out the tiles were asbestos. So we lamaneted over the tiles. The floor feels spongy to walk on...will it last? Thanks in advance!

- No it won't last. There will be too much movement and eventually all will unclick or if glued.. it will let go. I hope this client wasn't paying..
- spongy flooring...asbestos...7mm Laminate...not a good combination at all...leave well alone.
- laminate flooring needs a much stiffer underlayment, even the cheap underlayment sold by home depot or menards is iffy on whether it will support laminate flooring. The more bounce in the flooring the more likely it will work itself loose or even break the locking points.
