Gold rubber underlay for carpet, how long does it last?

Does anyone know how long it lasts? Its supposed to be good quality and doesnt look worn ive had it for 9 years should i replace it whilst getting my carpet relayed?

1. I install carpet and the rule of thumb is to change the padding when you change carpet.Padding not only gives the carpet a soft feel but also helps the carpet last longer. That being said I have installed a lot with the peoples old padding.If it doesn't have a real worn look and your trying to save some money I say go ahead and use the old.
2. Really hard to say until the carpet is fully removed. If its a true rubber , some rubber is guaranteed for the life of the house. You may have one of those types. Unlike your foam and rebond which should be replaced every time carpet is replaces.. GL
