How much should my coworker and I charge my boss to shampoo his home and office carpets?

How much should my coworker and I charge my boss (he is a lawyer)? He is going to rent a shampooer and wants us to shampoo the carpets at the office and his house. Keep in mind that we live in a small town and he is a tight wad LOL Any ideas?

Stanley steamer charges about $39 per average size room. I would charge him at least $25 per room / area 12x12.
i too live in a small town and i find that jobs like these can blur boundaries. :0) i like the $25/rm idea or to be even more PC, most high schools have a sort of job program or just students that are happy for some weekend work and then it's an easy 10 or 15$ and hour and you just supervise for your hourly rate. yes, you will lose the extra cash but it might keep relations better and further your boss' reputation as a person who supports the kids in the community and helps them do honest paying work and get experience!
