What color rugs and shower curtain go with yellow?

My bathroom has ugly yellow tile. I painted the wall a light grey color. I have no idea what color bathroom rugs or towels would go with yellow tile? I would like to use a few different colors for the towels. I'm confused, what color goes with yellow?

1. You were wise in selecting a neutral grey color for the walls to tone down the yellow tile. Colors that go well with yellow are: Blues: Cobalt, turquoise, light blue Coral: not pink, not orange, but coral goes well with yellow Most shades of green from sage green to lime green Get paint swatches to match your tile and your painted walls. Bring them to the linen department to help you select the correct color towels, rugs and shower curtain. 2. Baby blue and orange would look great or a red for a more sophisticated look. Grass green could be great too depending on the hue of yellow.

Coral Red Brown Black Orange Turquoise etc As you can see, I think you have lots of options and most of the above colors will go with the others so you can do lots of interesting mixing and matching. What I would suggest is that you find a piece of artwork that you love (in my case, this means an inexpensive print) that will pull your yellow and gray together but also has other colors in it - use that as your inspiration. Keep in mind you should treat your home as you do your wardrobe - it doesn't have to match, it just has to go! If you end up with purchases that don't work after you get home, just return them and keep trying; even the designers don't always get it right the first time. Instead buy towels in light gray, yellow and charcoal gray.
5. You can either ignore the yellow or find accessories with some yellow in them. They don't have to be the exact color as the yellow in your bathroom. Go with the gray or charcoal and add a bright flower arrangement or picture with some yellow. Find a shower curtain or shade for the window like a roman shade with a print that has colors you like in it. Don't concentrate on the yellow just make a hint of a mention of it in your bathroom.
