Using Liquid Alive Enzyme Producing Bacteria on Carpets to pass a black light test?

Does anyone know how to use Liquid Alive Enzyme Producing Bacteria on Carpets to pass a black light test? I was told by a professional that this was the only way to get it to work, but since the stuff is expensive I want to make sure I do it right the first time!! Also, do you know if I should steam clean the carpets first or wait and steam clean after? This is to clean dog urine!
